The Ryan Petitte Adventure Challenge

Now in its twenty-second year, the Ryan Petitte Adventure Challenge is a two-day, fourteen-stage, loosely “athletic” competition organized by a group of friends.

Named in honor of a close friend who died unexpectedly in 2003, the event serves as the primary fundraiser for the Ryan and Collin Petitte Memorial Scholarship.

It’s about friendship, fun, and remembrance.

Schedule of Events

Stages
& Challenges

The competition is loosely modeled after the Tour de France, with a series of individual stages, a yellow jersey designating the overall leader from stage-to-stage, and a coveted Adventure Challenge Cup trophy awarded to the winner.

Stages can vary year-to-year but generally include a kayak, mountain bike, trail run, free throw contest, bowling, shot put, field goal kick, punt & pass, home run derby and more.

A LOOK BACK AT THE 2023 RPAC

Las Vegas, NV

The 2023 Adventure Challenge was in Las Vegas, NV near trails, dunes and red sandstone cliffs. It offersed an ideal backdrop for the kayak race, trail run and mountain bike stages of the Challenge.

Sponsors
& Supporters

A huge thanks to all of our generous supporters and sponsors for making the Ryan and Collin Petitte Memorial Scholarship a reality. Your generosity and support allow a group of mostly over-the-hill forty-somethings to do more than pull muscles and twist ankles… we get to pull muscles and twist ankles for a great cause.

You make it all possible. Thank you.

I’m sick of following my dreams. I’m just going to ask them where they’re going and catch up with them later.
